More Coloring Swatches To Share...

Been coloring again...

First two pics show a nifty little trick learned during this process.  Don't you just hate it when you get that one little smudge from pic perfect? In the top pic there are ink blotches under the word "hello".   Second pic, used really fine sand paper and with the gentlest of rubbing was able to remove (erase) the blotches without harm.  Real time saver, you don't have to start over from the beginning because of one small smudge.

Enlarged pic of my first copic experience.  I did not have a really light blue copic so I used a light green (BG10, cool shadow) for shading the paper.  There was an "oops" with the flowers so they became "black-eyed" somethings.  The light blue marker I had which looks like a baby blue on the cap is really the color of her dress.  You can't get away from swatches.  They keep you from making mistakes and having to redo the same thing over and over.

One features I love about the copics is the ability to create the different skin colors. How many red, yellow, black, or white people do you know?

Used Martha Stewart markers on this one.  The blue is the lightest blue in the pack.  The problem with these is that the markers are soggy and make lint on the paper.  UGH!  You can see the fuzz (texture) it creates on both the dress and the paper wrapper.  The colors are rich and deep with lots of in-between colors missing.

Another copic with MS marker for blue shading on paper.  It's too rich and heavy to use with the copics.  Again, it creates lint on the paper.
